Embitterment

Would you give up your right to build a place of worship in a place where some felt was a scared place? This is a dilemma we all must consider in order to have peace. Would we be willing to be a peace keeper if we knew it was causing so much anguish on Christians or non Christians? This is exactly what the Muslims are being asked to do under protesters at ground zero. Many have lost their loved ones there and it will always be hallowed ground to them. The question is though; if it was other denomination or nondenominational building being built would there also be protesters. Living in a free land as we do in America; people have come to respect the rights of other citizens. When do we draw the line that says we should step aside to create a better good for those who have a legitimate right to say don’t do this? Don’t place a building on top of sacred ground no matter if it is their right to do so. What would Christ do in this situation?
Does Muslim want to build just because they can or are they trying to make a statement? Even thought they may have the right to; wouldn’t it be kinder just to say we love this country and we wouldn’t want to cause grievances’ among our fellow people. America is and always will be a free nation. Are we willing to give compromise where it is due or do we always have it our own way no matter if it may be scripturally wrong. Who will be the winner in the end? Only Jesus Christ knows the answer to this one; the way it should be.

Having Friends

Has having the thought of never having friends ever crossed our minds? What would we think if we knew we would never have a friend? If we are Christians there is an example we need to let shine in all our daily lives. We all know having friends does sometime have its oppositions and also its rewards. But it always does have a stipulation we all must follow. In order to have a friend; we first must be a friend. We must never take a friend for granted if we really want to stay friends. The scripture in Galatians lays out a pretty good explanation of what our behaviors ought to be toward our friends or even to someone that will be; as soon as we meet them.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness and faithfulness. We all can and should be faithful; because Christ is faithful to us. Hebrews 13:5 Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.
The Spirit of God dwelleth in you (1 Cor. 3:16).
The Spirit ... dwelleth in you (Rom. 8:11).
God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts (Gal. 4:6).
I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day (Rev. 1:10).
Walk in the Spirit (KJV, Gal. 5:16).
If we live in the Spirit (KJV), let us also walk in the Spirit (KJV, Gal. 5:25).
The obvious and undeniable teaching of the New Testament is that the Spirit is in Christians and that Christians are in the Spirit.
If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature (2 Cor. 5:17).
If Christ is in you ... the spirit is life (Rom. 8:10).
It is Christ that liveth in me (Gal. 2:20).
Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith (Eph. 3:17).
From the above citations, there can be no way to avoid the truth that Christians are in Christ, and Christ is in Christians.
Even those who aren't christians have friends but do they have a friend that will remain that way for eternity; one that will never forsake them or are they just short term and limited to this life on earth?

More of the Same

Being a citizen of this wonderful country I have always believed that no matter what person has been elected to be president they have the right to expect all citizens to give them the benefit of the doubt of what ever reservation they may have had against them.
The problem is after two years of watching a president having semi socialist behavior seeing he has became determined in his own point of views that he has made the right change in the economy, health care, and foreign policy. The jobs in this country have an all time low that some say are equal to the thirties during the depression. All I know is there are more out of work today than there has been in 65 years. I believe it is accurate to say the president sincerely believes his duties to this country have been accomplished. He doesn’t feel he needs to do anything more that everything he put in place will work. He even has claimed thousands of jobs have been established under his watch and gave examples of places that don’t even exist. The economy is like a walking pneumonia or flu system; not bad enough to keep you in bed but bad enough to let you know you have to do something before it gets worse. The Obama plan over all needs overhauled; we need to get away from this socialist behavior he is inclined to believe. We need to get back to our grass roots that kept this country strong. That is a president that will give incentives to those who create jobs for everyone that wants to work and giving them the opportunity to have affordable health care through their employer. We need Medical benefits; that the cost doesn’t take food off our families table. We need a president that believes that our senior citizens shouldn’t have to worry about their Medicare being taken away; then do away with Obama care. Allowing the senior citizens to live out the rest of their lives in dignity. We need a president who tells those in the world who would want to do us harm; that if they try we will be in their face with all the force the United States of American can muster. We need a president that sends a message to illegal aliens coming into this country that there will never be a refuge for them to stay in and then put enough people along the borders to keep them out even if it takes National Guards to get the job done. We also need to get rid of all illegal aliens that are already here if their not able to get citizenship. We also need to let the world know in time of need along with other countries in the world; we will help them through whatever crises they may have. There have been other presidents who have been faced with problems that are similar to what Obama had to face; when he came into office. He knew it was going to be a challenge to say the least but he claimed he was up for the job. Well America what is the verdict do you believe he has made a change as he said he would? I for one have seen the change he has made; that is a bad situation turned into a worse one. There wasn’t anything fixed that will help our economy, jobs, healthcare or our borders. Obama is commander and chief; I for one am glad he has the experience from those in the military that do have experience and will keep our country safe from those whom would do us harm if they had the opportunity to do so. Yes there was change two years ago now there needs to be a change; even if we have to wait two years for the new election. We have a president that has captured the attention of millions; yes we Americans are watching Mr. President we are watching the country we love being put in a position of needing change from an inexperienced president to one that will stand up for this country and has the experience to get the job done no matter what shape this country is in; one that will not blame you Mr. President for your inexperience.

Pit

Having relatives with chicken farms that have pits for burring chickens that had died because of the heat or diseases and this is a suitable way to dispose of these animals no matter how discussing it may seem. The sad thing is pits are being used to bury human beings somewhere close to the borders in our country. Coyotes are what they call people who bring illegal aliens to the borders for a fee. The problem with this is sometimes the people may be locked in back of trucks and smother or are in the sun so long they die of heat stroke. Whatever the reason they die; they are put into pits and buried. I heard this morning that a pit had been uncovered and 72 bodies were found in this pit. This type of thing could be stopped if there were a system put in place to stop the illegal aliens from believing they could cross the borders illegally or a way to stop them completely. We need to stress to them if they do cross our borders there will be strong consequences brought against them and they will be deported. Arizona has a system set up that will held do just that; only our government is fighting them trying to take away the tools they need to help protect the border and the illegal aliens trying to cross it. How many more people are there in pits near the border that the border patrol hasn’t found? How many more lives has to be taken before our government decides to do the right thing and help fight against the illegal aliens instead of giving them more opportunities to slip across the borders into this country. Obama was right we do need change. We need him replaced in the next election; we need a president who will stand up for this country and not try to make it like a socialist country. I for one will use my vote for change; yes a change back to being a democracy. A change that let’s a new president know he needs to listen to the will of the American people. A president that will not try to dictate to the American people because he thinks his views alone are all this country needs. This time let’s get it right; let’s put someone in the office of president that doesn’t need on the job training. There are several good people out there who do qualify. Let us not get tunnel vision and only look at one party. Lets all look at all there is out there and choose one who will do the right thing by all of us no matter what party he or she may be in. Make sure they will lead us in the right direction without blaming their predecessor. We want one who will do away with Obama care and offer a reasonable solution to health care that doesn’t take a Philadelphia lawyer to figure out what it is they have to offer. None of us has to be a lawyer to figure out we can’t stand four more years of the Obama direction. After two years it is still George Bush that has caused all the problems this country is in from his home in Crawford, Georgia according to Obama. I didn’t know Bush had been re-elected for the third term as Obama thinks sense he accuses Bush for whatever his failures maybe for not showing the change he spoke of during his campaign for president. The truth is Obama has dug a pit in the economy that it will take a better president than he to pull it out. The health care is a joke. There are so many things going wrong in our country that there has to be strong leadership at the helm; the problem is instead of having a strong leader we have excuses for failures or a blame game when things become overwhelming for a president without the experience to overcome them. Let’s face it; not everyone should be a preacher, a teacher or a president. This doesn’t mean they are not a good person or there convictions aren’t sincere, it just means some are not qualified to hold the position their in no matter how much they argue they may be. I said all that to say this; let’s not let the pit get any deeper by keeping a pit digger; lets find someone who knows how to fill it in and get our country out of a rut and back moving in the right direction. Although our president is commander and chief; I am certainly glad we have the right boots on the ground in Afghanistan and Iraq with the right know how that will protect our young women and men in uniform and will have a plan to returned them to us in a safe manner; we can be comforted in knowing this.

Getting results

When does one stop the everyday accuracies that seem to prolong in our lives. We seem to be more tolerant to bad behavior than ever before. There use to be a different way of handling problems rather than just to ignore they existed. Why do we allow ourselves to be beaten up mentally by those whom could care less about anything we think while their laying around taken advantage of the love we have for them? Metal abuse in its ugliest form will kill those who set by and allow it to continue. Who am I talking about you may ask? I am talking about parents, children, relatives and friends. Those who take advantage of those who care for them because they know they can get away with just about anything and push their love ones to the limit. Maybe you have this problem and believe it or not there is a solution called tough love that you can apply to the problem allowing those who are creating the problem finally figure out; under those kinds of circumstances you will no longer tolerate it in your home or work place. It is time they moved on. While this may seem hurtful to you; it is the only solution there is to this problem of abuse. Let them know you choose happiness and they will never be allowed to take advantage of you again.

Religion

Do we have the freedoms we would like to have? Does it matter that a group of Muslims wants to build a place of worship near ground zero? This is America we all have the right of choosing where we would want to build a place of worship. It doesn’t matter if it is a Church of Christ or a Muslim Church. No American flew planes into the towers and killed three thousand of our citizens; it was terrorist that had done the deed. Have we gotten so petty that we question the motives of our own citizens thinking because they happen to be Muslims they too are terrorist. I for one am ashamed that there would be controversy over someone’s religion in this country. We have always been a country where everyone could worship the way they want and because some of our citizen’s religion happens to be Muslim; they should never be persecuted by anyone. I realize in today’s society we need to be vigilant; but we never want to be vigilantes. If our appointed officials think that there is a reason that someone shouldn’t be allowed to build a place of worship no matter where the location may be. They need to bring forth evidence of why this could be harmful to citizens and nip it in the bud.

Practice what we preach.

The very old saying, “practice what we preach” should apply to everyone no matter what their status may be. Obama said we all need to watch the way we spend our money during this time of recession. In itself; it was probably good advise to give. Well that is fine and dandy if his family had taken the same advise and not used tax payers money to help finance their trip to Spain. By using the presidential plane and secret service for their protection was a considerable cost to the tax payers. The first Lady and her family should be protected; however the cost should fall back to the president especially if it is for his family’s personal vacation. I for one think everyone should do whatever they see fit with their money if they see it won’t hurt their personal needs by doing so. As long as they are using their own money; is the key that stops the gossip. No one needs to be preached to by our president; that we should conserve our money while he uses it to serve his families personal wants. I feel if he wanted his wife and daughter to go to Spain that is fine. I wish them well and hope they enjoyed their trip; but Obama should leave the tax payers money alone and pay for their trip with his own money. I have a tip for him; the next time he wants to give advise he should be standing in front of a mirror or recording his own words in case he forgets what advise he gives. It is easy for one to give advise that makes people think your looking out for them; but it never looks good when you decide not to take your own advise and the ones you gave it to can see it was hypercritical.
