Borders on Bazaar

Just when I think I heard about everything there is about the government. I find something that borders on bazaar again. Have you heard? The government is keeping an eye on people getting a divorce. It seems they have a way of making a profit off others misery. Two people maybe they have children find they have a predicament. What once was love they shared turns into war between the two of them, nether one willing to give in to save their marriage. Heart broken finds the only solution to their problem is divorce. How little did they know the government is smiling.
Yep they look for the gains or loses in the value on the home of the divorced couple when it is sold to determine how much of a cut there going to get. If the couple getting the divorce have $100,000 in assets it might be worth a lot more or less for one or the other depending on which one gets the most after the IRS gets done with it. You see alimony is deductible by the one who has to pay it and taxable income for the one that receive it. Now get this; a property settlement is neither deductible nor taxable. I know one thing we all can be sure of in this life and that is paying taxes then we die.
