It is nice when someone stands up and says the buck stops here. I will be accountable.
This statement may be true in some cases but there are so many out there that will make these kinds of statements just to get there fifteen minutes of fame. Listen to those who are saying things like this. Do they have good track records in telling the truth about anything? We are told BP is going to be held accountable for the oil spill. Well that is a wonderful thing if it hold true. Too many promises are being made and to make it look like the truth, they forget to tell that a company can file bankruptcy. Someone might have a lot owed to them that doesn't necessarily mean they are going to be paid in full, if at all. It just means the party that owes is given a chance to squirm out of their obligations. Who every makes these statements are doing it for show, it makes them look good in the publics eye if it holds water. But when it doesn't, more excuses or doubletalk is used to appease the angry Americans who think the can trust the one saying the buck stops here. Well let's look at it this way; the same way we look at all things in life. Time will tell all and you can be sure ninety nine percent of the time it never ends up the way the person making the statement says it will.
