Wonderful World
What a wonderful world we live in. When getting up of a morning looking at the sun come up; you can listen to the chatter of the night. When the sun starts slipping in I start listening to the birds sing their little tunes while relaxing to reflect on my agenda each day. It’s moments in the morning that starts a man fresh when coffee is brewing and I had a full night of rest. I look out my back window and watch the squirrels play thinking I am glad they live in the city; they will be alive another day. Stop and smell the rose is a cliché someone used to say. Only I think it was good advice on a busy day. Sometime we get so busy we forget to look around and we miss those moments I discovered were around. To watch a baby playing and to see a warm smile always makes my day. A tender kiss I would probably miss; if I forgot to smile. It’s the warm embrace as I touch her face knowing she is around for a long while. It’s a wonderful life being with my wife were old buddies her and me. We see eye to eye when it comes to apple pie; a slice for her and me. When darkness sets in we settle in that’s the routine of our day. Time for family and friends singing together again most of us are singing off key. I discovered the special days are everyday; in this wonderful world we live in. So take my advice, smile be nice it’s a small price for the wonderful world we live in.
