Push the Button
In this recession there seems to be some kind of confusion. Go out to your local Wal-Mart and other retail facilities during the week. Then you will see the economy isn’t what the government would like us to believe. There are fewer jobs that means’ fewer sales for everyone. I don’t believe any one starts an employee off with a full time job, unless he may be a white collar worker. It’s the everyday folk I am talking about like myself. My wife and I income together might be slightly over the poverty level. Our preacher makes more than double of what we do together and I am happy for him; it is well earned on his part. Ten years ago everyone could enjoy some fruits of their labor that’s not the case anymore. An incredible amount of wage earners only gets part time work. Some spend one third of their wages getting back and forth to work. Now think about it. If you make minimum wage; you travel say ten miles or more to work. You only get say fifteen to eighteen miles per gallon of gas. Gas prices here are $ 2.82 per gallon here in my hometown; you get thirty two to thirty six hours per week at your job. If you’re not a home owner you’re forced to live in low income housing getting food assistance and have no medical. Well my friends this is what some of our working class of people have to due everyday of the week, every month of the year. There are those saying well they should have gotten a better education. Face it folks there are a lot of people that would have loved to have done that; but you see what happened was; life caught up to them. They were some that just wasn’t fortunate enough to have this happen. Go to peoples homes and talk to them; who are hard workers and ask them why their in this predicament. The stories you hear will break your heart. But then ask them how they feel about America; their answers will make you shout hurray! I’ll not pretend I am smart enough to have the answers to the problems we have in our country. I just don’t like it when the government keeps taking from Americans. They don’t worry about debts or how much they spend; The American people have to keep bailing them out and who ever they say we have to. I hear senators, governors on the news all the time say, the American people want this or that. I am an American and they never ask me or millions like me anything. So either they or I am lying. Does any one remember when you looked someone in the eye and told them the truth? Doesn’t ones word mean anything any more? Some of the things I hear coming out of folks mouths makes me shake my head thinking; are they listening to what their saying. The good thing folks’ is; when we watch the news and we start hearing things we know isn’t like they say. Its easy today you don’t need to get out of your chair; just push the button and they disappear
