Hand Up
It’s good to see young men that are willing to work around your home to help buy gas for their cars or take their girl to a movie. There just aren’t enough jobs out there for the young people. I have a young man that comes to me when he needs a little extra money. He sometimes helps split wood for my fire place or washes my van. He is eager to do anything to help out; knowing that I do most the things around my home myself. Well I am sure you all know some kids that would like to help around your home. It doesn’t matter if you don’t really need them. What matters they learn there is a need for them also. Give the young people a chance you would be surprised what they can do or how quickly they learn. Money is tight now with the worst recession in years; more people are losing their jobs while the economy keeps going in a slow downward plunge. We have been in situations before and all of us can do a little. Hiring a young person to help out might not be much, but a least we are making an effort. Lets face it people raising children have it hard and need what money they have to care for them. My children are raised; thank God they have a talent that is needed. My boys do construction, while my daughters do nursing and are hair stylist. All pretty much keep busy. So help a young person when and if you can, give them a hand up; not a hand out.
